I didn’t really know much about this movie except that my mom wanted to see it, and I couldn’t find anything better to choose. So I convinced Adam he wanted to see it, and we went with little in the way of expectations. With few expectations this movie pleased us. It turns out it was shot mostly in Buffalo, which was neat, and at several points amused the Buffalo audience. The movie itself is a little bit too much of a “drama” to be in my taste range, too realistic, and therefore depressing – given the subject matter of the state of declining elderly mental health and elderly care. I can say though that both Laura Linney & Philip Seymour Hoffman gave excellent performances, and I did cry like I always do.
