(oh yes we are super awesome so we shake hands)
Everyone keeps telling me to see this movie because: oh you will really like it. And because I like proving people wrong I didn’t like this movie at all. I guess … it could have been okay, but so many little things made me upset with it. Like how terribly trashy the acting is. How Glen’s dialogue consists mostly of the word “coo.” How mechanistic the plot is. How strange the jumps are.
Or how about worst of all, how close to a real documentary it is. I mean let’s face it. They are both really musicians. They really did make a CD together. They really are dating! But he isn’t a struggling street musician who works at his father’s shop (maybe he did at one point). Oh and he has a real band who don’t appear. Oh and she doesn’t have a husband! I can’t deal with the, what a melancholy ending for such a sweet pair of musicians, when in real life they are dating, and he is (probably?) doing just fine – I keep buying the Frames cds at least (and I still will, I really like him, just … not her).
